Light Spring - Kareena Kapoor Khan
Kareena Kapoor Khan is an icon of Bollywood cinema and one of India's highest paid actresses. Her range and professionalism across a variety of acting genres as well as her crossovers into fashion, vegetarian nutrition, & nonfiction writing have cemented her legacy as a star with the skills to succeed in multiple fields.
Trying on the Colors
Kareena Kapoor Khan is Indian (South Asian) born in Mumbai (Bombay). She is sometimes typed as a Toned Autumn (Soft Deep) as her softness and warmth both radiate from her kind, confident eyes.
But in colors from the Tinted Autumn (Soft Light) palette, like apple reds, she simply exists. They do nothing to show off her grace and beauty.
And in Toned Autumn (Soft Deep), she needs make-up to make her both warmer and deeper, and even then, a deep olive green is still overwhelming.
But adding the clarity of Bright Spring is also overpowering, highlighting a tonal dissonance that points to a different path.
Another Look
But in colors from the Light Spring (Tinted) palette, Kapoor Khan shines. She not only sparkles in the warmth of a bright, light gold, she rests at ease in soft light pinks and blues while holding her own in strong teal and mint.
Darker hair can lull us into an impression of depth, but direct color juxtaposition is harder to ignore.
My Vote
My vote is for Spring Light Tinted - in the Sunlit Soft subseason that mutes the highly saturated hues of the other Spring subseasons.
