The colors are deep navy and true red.
This fun find would be an awesome gift for a Dad or Granddad who happened to work at McCormick at some point over the years. The tie has the words "McCormick & Company, Inc." written in red, making them the lines of the checked pattern.
They may have been gifts for the holiday or a special event as this Givenchy diffusion label also made some other company ties at this time, like this one for National Steel:

Despite the similarity in name, this tie is connected to the McCormick Company founded by Willoughby M. McCormick and not to William McCormick Blair Jr., an American diplomat whose wife is the source of many of the Met's Givenchy couture pieces.
